Like rolling up to your favorite aunt's house while she is making breakfast with all your fun cousins! The biscuit was fresh from the oven and made from scratch, cheese grits were delish, thick bacon nice and crispy... I'm a fan of the Blue Rose cafe!!

Excellent burgers and friendly people. I would go there twice a week if I could. The food is great and the people are super friendly. FYI: They have homemade chili for the burgers and dogs.

BEST BREAKFAST IN TOWN !
I got the egg combo with grits, toast and bacon I also got a side of gravy and a biscuit. I ordered the eggs over medium and this place cooked them perfectly, my bacon was also cooked perfect and had a delicious flavor, the grits were yummy and creamy. The biscuits are HUMONGOUS and FROM SCRATCH ! The are to die for good. If you love a delicious hearty breakfast this is your place. They have so many different items to choose from and the prices are great. If you haven't tried this place get your butt over there your gonna love this food and the prices too and they are friendly too and service is GREAT ! -

Came here for breakfast with my friend. They have a very simple menu and everything is well done. They were out of the potato hash which I was looking forward to trying so can't comment on that. Service is quick and food is good. Recommended for a quick bite for breakfast or for lunch.

My wife and I checked out The Blue Rose and Bakery for breakfast. The parking lot was packed so that was a sure sign the breakfast must be good.
My wife ordered 2 pancakes and I ordered an omelet with toast, cheese grits and bacon. We also had coffee and water with our meal.
First off, a word about the service. Outstanding! Wish I could remember our server's name but remembering names is not my strongest suit. She was knowledgeable of the menu and very personable and took care of us through out our length of stay.
The food: serving sizes are large enough to feed the multitudes. Our server reminded us the owner/chef is Italian. My wife's two pan cakes covered the area of her plate. The pancakes were perfectly prepared- not too dense, not whipped, not too light, did not dissolve in syrup. And speaking of syrup, the only suggestion I could make for improvement is to provide syrup in glass dispensers similar to Waffle House instead of in little packages.
The bacon was very good and fried crispy, exactly as I like. My 4 egg ( yes, you read right- 4 eggs) cheese and sausage omelet was huge. In fact it was so big I brought most of it home and warmed it up the next morning and it was still ever bit as good the day it was prepared. The flavor was excellent. My side of cheese grits was enough to share with others in the restaurant. They were delicious. No lumps, no undercooked, just the right amount of moisture- perfectly cooked.
Having said all of this, in the future my wife and I will split one order of whatever we eat. The serving sizes are just so big. The food is prepared in an excellent fashion as not to disappoint.
If you are a breakfast person, the Blue Rose on Cloverland in Baton Rouge will not disappoint you.
